ZDR Policy

Purpose

This Zero Data Retention Policy (this “Policy”) describes how Squack, Inc. (“Relace,” “we,” or “us”) handles content submitted to, and generated by, its API-accessible artificial intelligence models (the “Platform”) in the ordinary course of processing customer requests. This Policy is intended to provide customers and their downstream users with assurance regarding Relace’s data handling practices with respect to Covered Data (as defined below). Relace reserves the right to revise this Policy from time to time; the current version is identified by the Effective Date set forth below.

Scope; Covered Data

This Policy applies only to the Platform, meaning Relace’s API-accessible models. It does not apply to Jacq or to any other Relace product or service; your use of those products is governed by our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Within the Platform, this Policy applies to (a) the prompts, source code, and other content submitted by a customer or its end users to the Platform for processing (“Prompt Content”), and (b) the output generated by the Platform in response to Prompt Content (“Output,” and together with Prompt Content, “Covered Data”).

This Policy does not apply to: (i) billing and usage metadata, including token counts, request timestamps, API call volumes or similar operational metrics, which Relace retains in accordance with its standard data retention practices for billing, capacity planning and security purposes; or (ii) any data separately governed by a data processing addendum or other written agreement between Relace and a customer.

Zero Retention Commitment

Relace does not log, cache, persist or otherwise store Covered Data. Covered Data is held only transiently, in memory, for the period of time necessary to process the applicable request and return Output, and is discarded immediately thereafter. Relace does not use Covered Data to train, fine-tune, evaluate or otherwise improve any model, and does not make Covered Data available to any Relace personnel for manual review, except as required to investigate a specific, identified security incident or suspected violation of Relace’s Fair Use Policy or Terms of Use.

Subprocessors

The Platform is hosted in part on infrastructure and model subprocessors engaged by Relace (each, a “Subprocessor”). Relace routes Covered Data only to Subprocessors that are contractually and technically configured to provide zero data retention equivalent to the Zero Retention Commitment above. Where a Subprocessor is unable to provide such a configuration, Relace will not route Covered Data to that Subprocessor. A current list of Subprocessors, and their respective data retention configurations, is available to customers upon request.

No Effect on Metadata Retention

For clarity, this Policy does not restrict Relace’s ability to retain and use metadata that does not include Prompt Content or Output, including for billing, fraud prevention, rate-limiting, and service reliability purposes.

Policy Administration

Relace’s Chief Operating Officer (the “Administrator”) is responsible for maintaining this Policy, confirming that Relace’s technical practices remain consistent with it, and approving any new Subprocessor that will process Covered Data.

Updates to this Policy

Relace may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in its practices or infrastructure. Relace will provide reasonable advance notice to affected customers of any material change that narrows the Zero Retention Commitment above.
